Daddy and baby in Washington Square Park

Many people told me that a trip with a baby would be hard and not the same as before.  But I can attest that it was different but in a great way and even better. Our families thought we were crazy to take our four month old on a road trip to NYC, but he actually loved it. We basically did the same thing we used to do before. We went to brunch, did a little shopping, chilled in parks and walked alot. Nico would chill in his bassinet (which was perfect as he got to take his naps) until he was hungry, which is when we would stop and find a nice park or bench to feed him. We rented an apartment through airbnb which was located in the Meatpacking district and was so practical since it was centrally located and surrounded by great shops and restos.  All in all we had a wonderful time and we can't wait to return to beautiful NYC with Nico when he is a little older.

Foxy Family

Tory Burch long sleeve top, 485 CAD / Bonnie Baby Intarsia Fox Sweater, 150 CAD

Loving these foxy sweaters for mom and baby.  Both are made of soft fabrics which will be perfect for fall. Tory Burch also has shoes and make-up cases with the same fox.  So cute!

Blogs I am loving right now

Andrea (mother of two cuties) really knows how to capture beautiful moments with her children.  It is such a wonderful photo blog of the day to day in her children's lives. It motivates me to take better pictures of Nico.

I am also loving this blog where this family shares bits of their daily life.  Their images and stories motivate me to try different activities and to get out of my comfort zone.  They recently moved back to NYC with two small children.  Love how adventurous they are!

This blog just makes me want to eat ice cream all the time! Just kidding, but I do feel like cooking more and trying different restos after browsing this blog. And her daughter Ruby is such a cutie!

Lil Working Man turns 3 months

Just wanted to give a quick update on my little man who turned three months last week.  We went to the annual company bbq/family day in this outfit.  Found the tie was just perfect for the office setting!  Hehe love the shirt collar too!

MWG's to do list

To do

Having a baby really doesn't allow time for much so I decided to start a list of things to get done before the end of my mat leave which will force me to do stuff for me and him.To make these goals/to dos S.M.A.R.T I'll say that I will blog at a minimum once per week.  So hold me to it! I will finish my MBA by the time I go back to work and have already registered for one class in December. I will also try to cook one healthy dish per week (I leave the rest of the week's cooking to my hubby, just kidding if you're reading this Fab:). By the time Nico is 6 months I plan to take him to swimming lessons at the Y. And lastly does anyone have any recommendations for a good read? I am looking for some good books to read while Nico sleeps.

Life and Style after baby!

I can hardly believe that its been 2 months since I had Nico.  The day to day is really demanding but at the same time so rewarding.  I realized quickly that I cannot wear the same things I  used to and have had to make some wardrobe changes. At the same time I've also been making a big effort to wear cute yet comfy clothes. Fashion has been a big part of my life and with the baby it will definitely change and evolve but still be apart of me.  I am currently loving cute colorful flats for lots of walking, crossbody bags which are easy to carry with a baby and summer dresses which are both stylish and easy to breastfeed in. One of my fave celeb moms is Jessica Alba and whose style I used as inspiration.

A Love for Classic Pieces

Elin Kling and I both love classic pieces for their versatility and their ability to last for years.  Classic clothing are great investment pieces and will be worn time and time again.  Love this video and the great scenes of New York! Have fun watching:)
