So last night I couldn't sleep and kept watching old episodes of the Hills. I couldn't help thinking about what a great internship Whitney and Lauren had at Teen Vogue. Likewise I often think about one of my favorite stylists Rachel Zoe (love her book in my last pic) and how she has made her life passion into a career. I love hearing stories about people who have pursued their dreams and succeeded. We sometimes need not worry so much about societal pressures and fear of failure. All this to say "All our dreams can come true - if we have the courage to pursue them." -Walt Disney.
SO not corny! I think about that all the time...those people who are living and working on the things that they are passionate about are so inspiring. Hope you have a great weekend! xo
I love this post. Yes, I'm pursuing my dream. I started a company 3 years ago and we have went from 5 employees to 25 employees in 3 years. Business has been booming. On top of that, I'm a mother of a darling 18 month old and I have a fashion blog www.livingfoxy.com. Even with all this though, I'm hoping for another new venture.
This post is not corny, it is very wonderful. I am totally pursuing my dreams, which is why I moved to NY ;) It's been a hard road, but every step has been such an invaluable and amazing experience. I am a stylist / costume designer and ever since I was little I've always dreamed of working with clothing, I am so lucky to have it happen ;)
I think I'm dreaming in a dream... and I need to wake up and do pursue them. But this blog has certainly help me realize that people need to exploit their talents... often time we forget them in the attic of life. Keep up pursuing this fashion dream of yours... you will get far with u... ur a natural!
love your blazer & necklace!
ReplyDeleteI love that book, have you read Classy? It's quite interesting as well.
