Dressing in full bloom

(Zara jacket and dress, Killah shoes, LV pochette, BR bangles)

This weekend was all about family!  Had an event on Saturday for my nephew and then Mother's Day on Sunday!  I got my mom a bouquet of flowers and a card letting her know how special she is! Speaking of flowers, this dress is great for spring and I love the pattern.  I think I may wear it to work too by adding a navy blazer.

Just curious, what did you guys get your mom?

My weekend in color!

(Zara Jacket, Fornarina jeans, Mango booties, Vintage bag, MK watch and Aerie bracelets)

Happy Tuesday and hope you all enjoyed the long weekend.  Friday was so beautiful I felt it was a perfect time to break out these new jeans.  Also since the weather was cooperating we decided to do some window shopping at some great local boutiques here in Montreal.  While strolling we enjoyed a great ice cream at Bilboquet and of course some Starbucks.  I also got inspired while shopping to make a bracelet and picked up some beads at Bead It.  Hope to show you soon!

How was your long weekend?

Shades of Grey while I wait for Spring!

(Zara jacket, QI sweater, Vero moda leather skirt, Killah shoes, Bag-gift from Italy)
Hope you are all having a fabulous Monday! I had a very uneventful weekend, where I basically just did stayed in and did homework. YUK! But I did find some time to take some pics and I tried some new faces.  The first is "Oh I am so happy with the wind in my hair"  and the second is " I am a really deep person and never smile".  Both are so not me!!!  But really it's just that the lack of time doesn't allow me to edit the pics! But with this transitory weather I decided to show you guys some very neutral tones with splashes of colors in the purse, necklace and nails. Hope you like!

All in one: Work and Play

(Zara blazer, AA tshirt, Vinatge bag & sunnies, F21 necklace & Coach bangles)
MWS

So the look is a bit 80's with the sunglasses and boxer blazer, but I was going for something edgier.  The sunglasses and bag are actually my mom's from the 80's-90's era.  I love going through her closet and finding these little gems I can re wear  and which are trendy today.  I wore the outfit for brunch on Sunday at a place called Lawrence which seems to be where all the artsy people in Montreal hang out!!  I have also worn this to work (minus the sunglasses) and therefore find the outfit has some double duty abilities.  BTW have you noticed my love of orange lately?

Have a great hump day!!

How to tie a scarf, 3 different ways

#1:  As a Turban

#2 : As a belt

( Zara jacket, pants and shoes, Maison Scotch shirt, LV pouch and vintage scarf)

#3 : As a scarf

As promised I wanted to show you three different ways to tie a scarf. In the first pic I wanted to show you  a turban which is so in this season.  The second is as a belt and can be used to cinch in a blouse or a plain dress.  The last and most conventional way is as a scarf which is great if you want to add a burst of color to an outfit.  Check out J'aime mon carre a site designed by Hermes to show people how to use their silk scarf.  Love it!

Which is your favorite?

My new bright purchases for spring

(Zara skirt from Spring 11)
(Vintage scarf ready to be tied in different ways)

(View of the storm outside my window!  How pretty right?)

I know it's no excuse but the snowstorms have been preventing me from showing you guys my new bright purchases. I have been in love with orange lately and really drawn to all bright colors. I guess all the bloggers are (since the pics are so much better with bright colors) but we Canadians and East Coasters need to wait a while to actually done some of this stuff.  I can't wait to wear this skirt with both a white blouse or cobalt blue tank. Also will soon show you guys how I plan on using my new scarf in very different ways (so stay tuned!). Please sunshine come and stay awhile, cause I just can't deal with any more snow!!
